The can-do Exeter brand agency

We’re Mighty and we think you could be, too. With strategy, story and science, we help organisations like yours harness the power of change to make their business famous with our brilliant brand strategy, brand development and brand campaigns.

Making your business bigger, better and stronger

After a brand agency near Exeter that actually delivers? That’s why we’re here.

We work with companies just like yours – ones who have the drive and ambition to go the distance, businesses who want brand strategy and development that actually works. We could just do you some pretty pictures and call it a day, but that’s not who we are.

Instead, we build brands people care about. And brands that they remember. We help you define what you stand for, why it matters, and how to make it land. Whether you’re an Exeter business starting from scratch or levelling up, we build brands that are sharp, expressive, and built to move.

Building better brands

Brand strategy

Strategy first, everything else second. Because if you get the thinking right, you get the brand right. We’re guided by process that identifies barriers to success then introduces interventions to overcome them. It de-risks change and gets the right people in your corner.

Visual identity

Once we’ve done all the big thinking, it’s time to make it look the part. We create brands that demand attention. We make design systems that your team can easily run with. We look at all the ways in which your brand could and should reach someone and guarantee it’ll blow their socks off.

Verbal identity

Your visual identity is what your brand wears. Your verbal identity is what comes out of its mouth. We find your authentic voice so you can tell inspiring stories consistently across any medium. Once it’s dialled in, we deliver brand voice guidelines you can actually use. That way you don’t have to keep coming back to us (much to our finance officer’s chagrin).

Why choose us?

Our brand experts have been in the business for over 20 years, working with big names and challenger brands alike all over the world. There’s no overpromise and underdeliver with us – instead, we make a real difference, fixing the mess other agencies leave behind and giving you measurable impact. Everything we do is built around change and how to use it to maximum effect.

We know business, so we make sure what we’re doing perfectly aligns with yours.  We set you up to hit those goals and connect with the right audience. We’ve got a growing reputation as an Exeter brand agency for good reason – because we don’t believe in ‘looks pretty, does nothing’, so we build brands that work as hard as you do.

Moments of change

Strip away the blather, and there are just three reasons why a business needs or wants to change. We call them Moments of Change. And we use them as our kick-off point. We use behavioural change theory to work out what the oppositions are to getting started and flip them on their head, getting you moving, grooving and making money.

What they say

I have worked with the team at Mighty for the best part of 10 years and they have always been a pleasure to deal with. Innovative, creative and contemporary – highly recommended!
You’ve been an epic partner to Halceon! Working with you has been such a dream, and we’re so proud that we could build this together.
I highly recommend James and the team at Mighty. Their work on designing the Wiltshire Marque brand has been exceptional. They guided us through the whole process, listening to our ideas and aspirations, and bringing to bear their knowledge and expertise. They made the journey fun and inclusive and the end result surpassed our highest expectations. We really enjoy working with the team as they are professional, creative, knowledgeable and collaborative.
Mighty has been a great asset to us at Moog Industrial, helping us develop our social media channels, Google Ads and bringing life to our website. Mighty enables us to explore new ways to reach out to our customers, which is pretty challenging in a technical B2B environment. We see this as a highly collaborative relationship and I've been very appreciative of James and Robyn's support over the years.

FAQs

Where in Exeter are you?

We’ve worked with lots of companies in the South West, but our main office is actually in Cheltenham. When we’re in town, we’d love to grab a coffee with you – just let us know when you’re about and your latte’s on us.

What kind of companies/startups do you work with?

We work with Exeter companies making a difference in a wide range of industries, but predominately, we focus on tech, national resilience, cyber security, advanced engineering and manufacturing, and other critical sectors.

When it comes to Exeter-based startups, we specialise in helping venture-funded startups who are ready to level up to the next stage.

What type of projects do you take on?

We love projects with a bit of meat on the bones. We’re looking for Exeter companies with complicated brand propositions who want to define themselves better. Businesses that want to change the world but don’t quite know how to do it. Organisations that are missing a strategic approach to their marketing. Brands that need some TLC … or a complete overhaul.

Simply put, we like a challenge. Bring it on.

How soon can you start a project?

It depends on what else we’ve got on the books, but we normally get started within two weeks of everything being signed off. When you first accept our proposal, we’ll send you a few bits:

Letter of agreement
Terms and conditions
New client form
Initial invoice for kick-off

Then we need to make sure we’re all on the same page, so we’ll hold an internal kick-off meeting with the right team, get planning, and arrange a scoping meeting with you as needed.

How long does a brand and website project take?

In less than 100 days, we’ll take you from 0 to 1 and make sure you’ve got everything you need to launch – that’s a name, brand, positioning, tone of voice, website, a GTM pack, digital assets and brand guidelines. And that’s when you’re starting from scratch with nothing.

If you’ve already got some of these elements lined up, we can take you through our sprint process for the rest – just get in touch to find out more.
