A world of experience

The client: Formation Global

Ever wondered how exhibition stands come to life? They don’t just appear by magic. Tucked away on one of those industrial estates in the middle of the country where you wonder what everyone does, there’s a clever bunch of people formerly known as Formation Live, who design and build not just stands, but experiences.

The plan we made

When we developed the brand for Formation Global, a new website was a key part of it. The site they’d been using had become old and clunky, with very little space to show off the best bits of their work.

We got to work wireframing and developing the customer journey – there had to be plenty of room for Formation to showcase their exhibition design, while making it easy for potential customers to get in contact.

The story we told

With all these lovely bold colours to play with, we put those at the heart and soul of our website design, all while creating lots of space for the exhibition stand design to shine.

As the Formation team are constantly on the move, everything had to be nice and simple. For this build, we went with a bespoke WordPress – no plugins, just easy templates that the Formation team could use to build case studies, create blogs, and update with no hassle.

We added little brand touches throughout the website through micro-interactions using the bright colour palette, as well as optional patterns that could be added to images.

We also defined the tone of voice through the web copy, giving them an air of relaxed confidence – something that had been missing before.

The Mighty change

Once Formation Global went, well, global with the launch of the new brand and website, they’ve been working with a whole range of big clients across the world and winning awards left, right and centre.

We gave them the confidence to up their social media game, so they’ve been shouting all about their amazing projects, and we’ve been chuffed to bits to see them going from strength to strength.
