World-changing tech

The client: Moog

Moog are, in fact, not a synthesiser company. That’s Moog Music. Instead, this Moog are the creators of the servo valve, a revolutionary electrohydraulic component that changed the face of motion control for a range of industries. 
 
That, plus a few other clever inventions, held them in good stead until we got to the 21st century – then, other companies started to step into the market that they had ruled over for decades. They approached us to help them embrace the digital age.

The Moment of Change: Waking up

Most of Moog’s rivals in the UK – and indeed, the world – weren’t doing things as well as Moog were, but they were very good at talking about what they were up to. These rivals were also very good at knowing where their business was coming from.

Meanwhile, Moog’s different divisions were beavering away in the background and creating revolutionary technology – but nobody knew about it. We had to make Moog top dog again, and the way to do that was by contextualising what they did and making it easily accessible for all.

The plan we made

Across Moog’s social media channels, they focused on products – but that didn’t mean anything to the majority of people. We helped them flip the script by focusing on their technology in action, developing video content and case studies that explained how Moog’s advanced technology was used to create incredible things. This helped us build a wider audience in the UK and increase the visibility on Moog’s job listings.

The story we told

Once we had people engaged, we needed to get them buying and edge some rivals out of the competition. We worked on a Google Ads campaign to capture those looking for Moog products, as well as those needing specific components. We’ve also developed numerous LinkedIn advertising campaigns to put Moog front and centre in the feed.

Our work in the UK went so well, we’ve since been drafted in to help global teams within the business, providing brand consultancy and digital marketing strategies on key product launches across the world.

The Mighty change

Through our Google Ads, we’ve got Moog back in touch with a multi-million-pound account and have increased the number of leads for their core products drastically in the UK. Over the last 12 months, we’ve got a 15.55% clickthrough rate and a whopping 27.90% conversion rate through Google Ads for the company’s industrial products.

On top of that, we’ve generated over 1.5 million impressions for Moog across the globe through LinkedIn Ads. Just remember – servo valves, not synthesisers.
